Porsche Boxster enhancement polish

This Porsche Boxster was a new purchase for the owner who got me to come look and see what I could do.  The car was generally good but had some specific areas of defect which required fairly heavy treatment, i.e. wet sanding!

First job was to throughly decontaminate the paintwork, including a good clay over all metal & glass panels.  Then the hood was taped off and covered, and other plastics etc all taped off too.  Then it was on to polishing.

The first element of the polishing was a fairly heavy cut using my rotary polisher to remove lots of surface swirls and some areas of roughness which looked to have been caused by a previous owner using a scourer to remove bird muck!  Ouch.  Once this stage of polishing was complete it was time to inspect again, and then I spent time on individual spots where more cutting was required, and this was when I used a 1500, 2000, 2500 grit wet sanding stage to achieve a much better finish.

Once all the polishing was done, the glass was cleaned inside and out, the wheels washed and decontaminated, and the plastics dressed, completed with a full coat of my new wax, Collinite 915.  That will keep the car looking top notch over the winter.

Photos below are not A1 as the weather was a little inclement / dull at times, and by the time I got to taking final pics, the paint was starting to condensate as the sun was setting.
